At Institut Marquès, we are constantly striving to continue researching and discovering the latest scientific and healthcare advances. For this reason, various institutions and associations from different sectors recognize our work with outstanding awards.
For its improved outcomes in Assisted Reproduction, its R&D activity, and a track record spanning more than 100 years, Institut Marquès has once again been awarded the National Prize for Assisted Reproduction Medicine. This award represents further recognition of the clinic's work in helping patients around the world achieve pregnancy.
Dr. Borja Marquès, Director of Institut Marquès, accepted this prestigious award at an event dedicated to the medical sector held in Madrid. In his speech, Dr. Marquès referred to research and medical advances to continue increasing the positive outcomes of Assisted Reproduction treatments. He also emphasized the importance of emotional support and personalized patient care. In this sense, excellence and teamwork are key, according to the center's Director, to successfully helping people who need medical treatment to start a family.
Once again, the excellence in patient care at Institut Marquès has been recognized by the European Fertility Society (EFS) in this international organization's annual awards. This is the second time this center has been recognized for its "patient experience" during assisted reproduction treatment.
The internationalization of the Embryo Forest project and the protocols to ensure a personalized experience during embryo transfer are the two initiatives that led the EFS to once again select Institut Marquès as one of the best fertility clinics in the world in 2023.
Dr. Borja Marquès, director of the center, accepted the award at a meeting held in conjunction with the annual congress of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Marquès emphasized at the event, “This is a recognition of the efforts we are making to ensure excellent care for our patients. One of our key initiatives has been the creation of a Patient Experience Committee, which works in collaboration with all departments to maintain and improve the quality of our services.”
The Institut Marquès laboratory has been recognized for its excellent clinical results in embryo and oocyte vitrification. The Kitazato brand awards these prizes to Assisted Reproduction clinics that use its vitrification medium in conjunction with the Cryotop support for embryo and oocyte cryopreservation.
This quality accreditation certifies our excellent survival rates. As a pioneering brand in vitrification optimization, Kitazato conducts a rigorous annual evaluation of the results of different laboratories, comparing their results and success rates. In 2023, Institut Marquès was awarded its "Best Practice Recognition in Vitrification" certificate.
The 10th Congress of the Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology (ASEBIR), held in Cáceres, has recognized a scientific contribution from the Institut Marquès that takes a further step in modifying the criteria for assessing embryos. The study is part of a line of research initiated by the Institut Marquès that changes the criteria for some embryos that do not follow normal developmental patterns but which, as has been shown, can eventually develop into a healthy baby.
For the second consecutive year, the GAMECHANGERS GLOBAL AWARDS (ACQ5) has recognized Institut Marquès as the Spanish clinic with the best medical practices, awarding it the title of "Best Medical Practice Operator of the Year 2021."
The platform, through an article in its magazine, highlighted Institut Marquès's ability to innovate and improve outcomes in Assisted Reproduction. In addition to the use of music in IVF treatments, it highlights the application of new technologies in all its processes and the success of the Embryo Adoption Program, an initiative launched in 2004 through which more than 2,000 children have been born worldwide.
Since its inception 18 years ago, the Global GAMECHANGERS Awards have recognized the achievements, innovation, and excellence of outstanding organizations and professionals around the world through a rigorous vote among its more than 245,000 subscribers and company executives from diverse sectors.
The European Fertility Society (EFS) has recognized Institut Marquès with the Award for Outstanding Patient Experience During Fertility Treatment. This is one of the 2021 Fertility Care Awards that the EFS grants annually to recognize those clinics, organizations, products, and services that pay special attention to the well-being of their patients in their daily lives and that excel in key areas of Assisted Reproduction.
In his speech during the awards ceremony, Dr. Alex Garcia Faura, Scientific Director of Institut Marquès, defined the "daily effort to care for the well-being of our patients as a labor of labor that involves everyone at the center."
He also highlighted the importance of "providing special attention to men, thanks to our experience in treating the male factor, with the redesign of the semen collection rooms (EPS), and the incorporation a few years ago of an application that allows all families to see the development of their embryos online in the incubator, the Embryomobile."
